Julia Fox recently shared candid insights about her brief relationship with Kanye West, revealing how she felt manipulated and controlled throughout their time together.
The 34-year-old model, who dated West shortly after his divorce from Kim Kardashian, confessed that she felt “used” and “dirty” during their short-lived romance. In her memoir Down the Drain, Fox discussed the emotional toll of being involved in what she described as a “weird, twisted game” orchestrated by West.
Reflecting on their relationship, Fox described it as a “publicity stunt” and expressed feeling like nothing more than a “prop.” She recalled that shortly after meeting West, he arranged for two of her close friends to become her stylists, exerting control over what she wore in public.
Fox also recounted a painful suggestion from West for her to undergo surgery, which she found particularly distressing after the birth of her son. She described feeling helpless as Kanye dictated her public persona and took charge of her life in a way that left her feeling powerless. She wrote about watching her life shrink to fit into the boxes of a life controlled by West, saying her new wardrobe couldn’t even fit in her small apartment.
