Johnny Depp is making his Hollywood return with two exciting new projects, following a turbulent period in his career. The 61-year-old actor, who faced setbacks due to the high-profile defamation case with ex-wife Amber Heard in 2022, is poised to reclaim his place on the big screen.
Depp’s career suffered significant blows, including being dropped from major franchises like Fantastic Beasts and Pirates of the Caribbean. However, he is now set to star in two confirmed films.
One of the upcoming projects is Carnival at the End of Days, directed by Terry Gilliam. In December 2023, Gilliam revealed his intention to cast Depp in the role of “Satan.” According to the director, Depp’s character will attempt to save humanity as God wipes out mankind for destroying Earth.
Additionally, Depp will star in Day Drinker, an action thriller alongside his Pirates of the Caribbean co-star Penélope Cruz. While both films are confirmed, details such as release dates and production timelines are yet to be announced.
