WASHINGTON:
India has expressed its willingness to repatriate its citizens living illegally in the United States, according to Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, following discussions with senior officials in President Donald Trumpβs administration.
Jaishankar emphasized that New Delhi is committed to verifying the identities of undocumented Indians in the U.S. to facilitate their deportation if necessary.
“We aim to ensure that Indian talent and skills have ample opportunities globally,” Jaishankar stated, adding, “However, we firmly oppose illegal migration and unauthorized mobility.”
