Elon Musk’s Son X Captivates Audience at Trump’s Pre-Inauguration Rally
Elon Musk’s four-year-old son, X Æ A-12 (pronounced ex-ash-ay-twelve), won over the crowd at President-elect Donald Trump’s pre-inauguration rally on Sunday night.
Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, appeared at the rally as the co-head of the newly created Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). He brought his son onstage, where X’s lively actions stole the spotlight. The toddler mimicked his father’s gestures, jumping and waving his arms, which delighted the audience. Musk, 53, remarked to the crowd, “Little X just followed me on stage here. He’s a very enthusiastic supporter, as you can see.”
During his speech, Musk outlined his ambitious plans to reduce federal spending by up to $2 trillion and improve government efficiency. He emphasized DOGE’s mission to strengthen America for the long term. Additionally, Musk revealed the agency’s goal to hire engineers and expand its staff to 100 employees soon.
The rally set the tone for Trump’s forthcoming administration, which strongly favors Republican appointments. Following the event, ethics experts Norman Eisen and Virginia Canter, who were denied positions, launched the State Democracy Defenders Fund to monitor DOGE’s activities.
On Truth Social, Trump praised his new administration’s progress, announcing the hiring of over 1,000 employees and advising against supporting anti-Trump Republicans.
While both Musk and Trump promised sweeping reforms, the appearance of little X provided a heartwarming and lighter moment at the rally, capturing the media’s attention and endearing the crowd.
