Court to deliver verdict in £190m case against PTI founder tomorrow

The Accountability Court in Rawalpindi will announce its long-awaited verdict in the £190 million Al Qadir Trust case involving PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, on Monday. The ruling had been postponed three times previously. According to court staff, the decision will be delivered at 11 am at Adiala Jail.

The case concerns allegations of illegal land acquisition for the Al Qadir University Trust, resulting in a loss of £190 million to Pakistan’s national finances. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) initiated an investigation into Imran Khan, his wife, and others for misappropriating funds sent by Britain’s National Crime Agency (NCA). The court, which reserved its verdict after hearing both sides’ arguments, will announce the outcome almost a year after the trial began.
