Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez Reach Divorce Settlement
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have reached a settlement in their divorce, five months after Lopez filed in August 2024.
Reports from TMZ reveal that the split has been surprisingly amicable, with both parties agreeing to keep what they earned individually during their two-year marriage. No spousal support will be exchanged between them.
Although the couple did not have a prenuptial agreement, the terms of the divorce were reportedly negotiated similarly to a prenup. The settlement also includes confidential details regarding their $61 million property, which is currently listed for sale. Lopez will also drop Affleck from her surname. The divorce is scheduled to be officially finalized on February 20, 2025.
Affleck and Lopez, famously known as “Bennifer,” initially became romantically involved in the early 2000s and got engaged in 2002, only to call it off two years later. After rekindling their relationship in April 2021, they married in July 2022. However, Lopez filed for divorce in 2024, ending their nearly two-year marriage.
Their amicable resolution of the divorce, without significant disputes, reflects their mutual respect for one another during the process. Representatives for both parties have not yet commented on the settlement.
