On Monday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to Shaheed Aitezaz Hasan, who sacrificed his life to protect his school and classmates from a deadly attack.
In a social media post on X, the prime minister honored Aitezaz, a brave son of the soil from Hangu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, calling his courage a symbol of hope and resilience.
At just 15 years old, Aitezaz showed unmatched bravery by giving his life to stop a terrorist from entering his school and causing mass destruction. “His selflessness and determination remind us of the profound impact a single act of courage can have on many lives,” the prime minister said.
Sharif emphasized that Aitezaz’s legacy would continue to inspire future generations.
The nation is marking the 11th anniversary of Aitezaz Hasan’s martyrdom, remembering his heroic act on January 6, 2014. By stopping a suicide bomber at the school gate, Aitezaz saved hundreds of lives. He was posthumously awarded the Sitara-e-Shujaat for his bravery.
