Three Dead in Indian Coast Guard Helicopter Crash in Gujarat

A tragic accident occurred on Sunday afternoon when an Indian Coast Guard (ICG) helicopter crashed while attempting to land at Porbandar airport in Gujarat. The crash took place at 12:10 PM, resulting in the deaths of all three crew members onboard.

The helicopter, an Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH), was landing when it suddenly crashed. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, the crew members, who had sustained severe burns and critical injuries, succumbed to their wounds. The Porbandar Superintendent of Police, Bhagirathsinh Jadeja, and Kamala Baug police station inspector, Rajesh Kanmiya, confirmed the incident, but the identities of the victims have not been disclosed.

The Indian Coast Guard has initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.

In a separate incident, an IndiGo flight from New Delhi to Jeddah made an emergency landing at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport on Friday night due to a medical emergency. The ill passenger received immediate medical attention, and their condition improved after receiving treatment.
