The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has initiated the Pakistan Remittance Survey 2025 to gain deeper insights into remittance flows. Overseas Pakistanis have been encouraged to take part in the survey, with Pakistani embassies, high commissions, and consulates tasked with disseminating the survey link through various communication methods, such as social media, WhatsApp groups, and community welfare offices.
The survey includes a questionnaire asking expatriates about the duration of their stay in their current host countries and whether they send remittances to Pakistan. It also inquires about their arrival timeline, such as whether they moved to their host country in the 1990s, 2010s, or post-2020.
SBP previously conducted similar surveys in 2022 and 2023, particularly following the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Pakistan’s embassies and consulates. The Pakistani embassy in the UAE and the Consulate in Dubai have also urged expatriates to participate in the survey.
