Religious Affairs Ministry Opens Applications for 2025 Hajj Labor Quota

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that applications are now open for the 2025 Hajj Labour Quota, inviting nominations from both public and private sector organizations for low-income workers.

A total of 300 spots are available under this quota, targeting employees in grades 1 to 9, including laborers, industrial workers, and miners. The cost of Hajj for selected individuals will be covered by their respective organizations as part of their corporate social responsibility programs.

Organizations wishing to apply must be registered with the Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) or the Workers’ Welfare Fund. Applications must be submitted to the Workers’ Welfare Fund by January 15. For organizations under other government departments, nominations should be routed through their respective ministries to the Ministry of Religious Affairs. If the number of applicants exceeds available spots, a ballot will be conducted to allocate the 300 seats.
