Huawei slashes Pura 70 Ultra price by 18% as part of weekend sales

Huawei has slashed prices of several high-end devices, including smartphones, tablets, headphones, and smartwatches, by up to 3,000 yuan ($411) during its “Super Brand Day” promotion on JD.com. The sale, which ran from Saturday evening to Sunday midnight, saw notable discounts, such as an 18% reduction on the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra. The 1TB version is now priced at 8,999 yuan ($1,233), down from 10,999 yuan, while the 512GB version received a 20% discount.

The foldable Huawei Mate X5 also saw a 19% price cut, now 2,500 yuan cheaper than its original price of 12,999 yuan. Huawei aims to strengthen its market position against rivals like Apple. Despite challenges, such as weaker processors in the Mate 70 series, Huawei’s smartphone shipments, especially premium models, have risen by 34% in Q3, with a 33% share of the Chinese smartphone market. The company continues to lead the foldable smartphone segment in China, shipping 1.12 million units in Q3, a 97% year-on-year increase.
